The play pen is a unique space that most libraries in the area do not have, according to Swampscott librarian Izzi Abrams. The play pen was recently given as a grant from the state to help give children and parents the opportunity for more play time at the library. “They know they can always come into another space when they come into the library,” Abrams says.
